The Walker School is seeking an Upper School English Teacher who brings passion, creativity, and purpose to the classroom. What You'll Do

Teach engaging English courses across grades 8 to 12, including on level and AP courses

Design dynamic, discussion based lessons that promote critical thinking, analysis, and strong writing skills

Create student centered classrooms that encourage voice, choice, and curiosity

Serve as an advisor, mentoring a small group of students

Be available for student support and academic growth during designated times

Contribute to the full life of the school through coaching or student activities

Partner with families and colleagues to support student success

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

Experience teaching upper school English, including on level and or AP courses

Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
